Midwest Hearing Specialists was opened in June of 1981. On staff are Gary L. Wyeno, M.A. CCC-A, FAAA, who is a licensed Audiologist and hearing aid dispenser, and Amy Svoboda and Marliese Mohlman both hearing aid dispensers. They have a combined total of 40 years of experience in hearing health care.

Midwest Hearing Specialists is a complete hearing care facility. They are a department of Midwest Ear Nose & Throat Specialists, P.C. at the Hastings Medical Park and have direct access to the doctors and audiologist. The office strives to provide their patients with the most advanced testing equipment and hearing instruments available. This allows for one of the most complete and comprehensive evaluations for hearing loss and aid fittings in the area. Midwest Hearing Specialists has served many hearing impaired individuals ranging in age from birth to 100 years young. They offer a comprehensive program of hearing related services including hearing test for infants, children and adults; hearing aid evaluations, fittings and sales; custom fit earmolds for noise protection and musician monitoring; hearing aid repair, hearing aid batteries and accessories sales. Besides providing evaluations for deternining the severity and nature of hearing loss, the Audiology department has the equipment, training and expertise to evaluate dizziness and balance problems and tests to help identify tumors of the hearing nervous system.
